Follow Jesus

Those who follow the Lord…

Don’t take it lightly… … follow the Lord, drink His cup or be a disciple of the Lord…

As they were going along the road, someone said to Him, “I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus told him, “Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.” (Luke 9:57-58)

Those who serve and follow the Lord, “Who brought you here? What are you doing in this place? What do you have here?”

While they were at the house of Micah, they recognized the voice of the young Levite. They turned aside and said to him, “Who brought you here? What are you doing in this place? What do you have here?”(Judges 18:3)

Do you expect someone to supply you?

and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance. (Luke 8:3)

Have you ever calculated whether you can stick to the end?

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? (Luke 14:28-30)

Are you ready to stay with the Lord in the village?

Come, my beloved,Let us go forth to the field; Let us lodge in the villages. (Song of Solomon 7:11)

Are you ready to live without a home?

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.  (2 Timothy 3:12)

He said to another, “Follow Me [accepting Me as Master and Teacher].” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.” But He said to him, “Allow the [spiritually] dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and spread the news about the kingdom of God.”  (Luke 9:59-60)

What is more important, the things of the world and the things of the Kingdom Of Heaven?

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  (John 17:16)

Earthly ceremonies and requirements are dead in the sight of God—YOU ARE ALIVE.

You live to glorify the name of the Lord and draw all people to HIM!

Another also said, “I will follow You, Lord [as Your disciple]; but first let me say goodbye to those at my home.” But Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things left behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:61-62)

What else is there you love, and what is there that you cannot give up?

Where is your heart? What are you focusing on?

What do you care about in your life? Are you going to “look back” like Lot’s wife did? Have you ever thought about her ending?

Are you worthy, called and chosen by God?

Those who follow the Lord…

Are you deeply grieved about the things HE grieved? Can you see no one except Jesus Himself alone?…
