Y: Yellow Droid with Red Hand C-3PO /

Have you ever noticed which characters from the Rebel Alliance appeared in all 7 Star Wars movies? It is C-3PO and R2-D2. C-3PO does not have much impact on the plot but plays more of a reconciling role; a character that relieves the movie with a lighter atmosphere. A lot of effort went into the development of the characters and the story. George Lucas once revealed that the concept behind the first Star Wars movie was based on Japanese filmmaker Kurosawa”s The Hidden Fortress. C-3PO and R2-D2 resemble the one tall and one short peasant farmers in Kurosawa”s film and the design for C-3PO was based on from the female robot in the 1927″s Metropolis.
In Star Wars, C-3PO was created secretly by Anakin Skywalker to help out his mother. At first, C-3PO had no outside covering with all his internal parts and motors showing. Throughout his journey with different masters, C-3PO was given different outer coverings, and eventually given the gift of his golden armour. Despite his cowardly personality, this straightforward character became very popular among the audiences.
Being pure and honest are essential for the worship of God. Jesus pointed out that “God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in the spirit and in truth”. (John 4:24)
The poets in the Old Testaments also praised God whole-heartedly without any reservation or pretense. Jesus told his disciples a parable about the Pharisee and the Tax Collector. (Luke Chapter 8) When the Tax Collector bowed his head and beat his chest saying: “God has mercy on me, a sinner.” (Luke 18:13) Jesus told his disciples that “this man went home justified before God. Because he humbled himself and asked for forgiveness.”
Apostle Paul quoted Psalm Chapter 14 Verse 3: “There no one who does good, not even one.” For we can only be saved by faith, not by deeds. We receive the grace of God through accepting the salvation of Jesus. Then God removes all of our transgressions and clothes us in white. We become purified and shine like a star.
Similar to C-3PO, we are weak and without much usefulness. We must come to face the King at his throne with a pure and humble heart and ask for God”s forgiveness.
