T: All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT) / 全地形裝甲運輸機

T: All Terrain Armored Transport (AT-AT)

In the opening scene of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, there was an epic snow battle between the Rebel defenses and the evil Empire”s AT-AT walkers – the four-legged transport and combat vehicles. Luke Skywalker commandeered his squadron to counter-attack the huge AT-ATs using harpoons and tow cables on their Snowspeeders enabling them to tie up the transports” legs to topple them over.

When faced with major difficulties, many might choose to run away. So why did Luke Skywalker risk his life to battle? The reason is because he had a mission to accomplish. When one sees an opportunity for justice and that the act of sacrificing oneself can save lives, one will instinctively be filled with the confidence to face the difficulty.

The Bible tells of a time when David was facing Goliath, the Philistine giant. Although it seemed like a hopeless situation, David was given strength by his belief that the Living God was on his side that he was willing to fight for Him. (1 Samuel 17:26) David was confident because he had experienced God”s protection when God rescued him from the harm of a lion and a bear. (1 Samuel 17:37) He trusted God and knew that this battle was the Lord”s. (1 Samuel 17:45 – 47) In this battle, David was given a mission (1 Samuel 17:32) to rescue the Israelites and to rid them of their shame. Without a weapon, David only used a stone in a sling to defeat the giant. The stone sank into the giant”s forehead and Goliath fell dead on the ground. Winners don”t rely on the use of guns and knives. Winner understands, just like David did, that: “Win or lose, all situations are in God”s control.”
